The lodge was very relaxing, and we enjoyed the hot tub as well, not something you see very often on a holiday in the UK. The weather was great which helped. I would recommend the Anchor Pub at Cockwood Harbour, very nice food, and the staff were very friendly.
Mrs H, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire

Very high standard of accommodation, peaceful setting of just 8 chalets, key-safe system so late arrival not a problem, ideally placed to visit coast or Dartmoor.

The properties were flawless and the location was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay at Portmile Lodges and winter is definitely the best time to go and escape for a quiet break, enjoying the views on a chilly day in a lovely hot tub!

The hot tub was good.

Our lodge at Portmile had a fantastic view and the hot tub was lovely, accommodation was to a very high standard and it was nice to be able to just let yourself into the lodge without having to answer to anyone. It was very romantic as a couple but would also be a great getaway with a group of friends. Kids would love it but it was nice that there were not any children there!
Miss F, DIDCOT, Oxfordshire

Lovely views from the lodge to the hills beyond and a good base to visit lots of attractions in the area. We found the lodge very comfortable with modern, tasteful furniture.
Mrs M, CRAWLEY

Welcome pack would be nice, including sufficient essentials, had a broom, a dustpan and brush and 2 toilet rolls. Better details on website and in brochure. More in depth local information in info file. Details about Hot tub cleaning after previous occupants. Better standard and amount of kitchen ware (glasses, crockery, utensils). Overall very IKEA basics feeling to fixtures and fittings. No worthwile mirrors in bathrooms or anywhere else in accomodation. No provision made for space in one of the bedrooms to place a cot. Requested info prior to arrival about arrival times and no one responded! Not very child or limited mobility freindly, which was not stated in brochure.
Mr B, LINCOLN, Lincolnshire

This is a perfect, quiet break for couples. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed from kitchen utensils, to take-away leaflets, to tourist information, and even a torch so we could find our way home after walking down to the pub in the harbour.
Mrs C, BANBURY, Oxfordshire

The accommodation was wonderful and beautifully presented and comfortable for us and our new baby boy. An extremeley relaxed holiday in lovely surroundings, not far from the beach - we could easily live there full time!
Mr S, ADDLESTONE, Surrey

The lodge was very well laid out and nicely decorated. The situation in the countryside is lovely and we spent some very enjoyable evenings sitting in the hot tub watching the sun set over the fields. I would recommend this holiday to people wanting a quiet, relaxing time, especially if you don't mind not being in the middle of a resort.

The lodge was beautifully furnished and of a high standard. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was lovely. The hot tub was fantastic to use after a busy day exploring the fantastic countryside and surrounding areas. A great location, quiet and peaceful.

The location is peaceful, beautiful views across the Devon countryside, an amazing hot tub which is a pleasure to use even when its only 5 degrees outside! Close to loads of amenities, i can recommend the Chinese takeaway nearby called Mei Lai (there is a menu in the folder), excellent food. In cockwood harbour there are two pubs that do food to eat in, The Anchor and The Ship, both are reasonably priced and offer an amazing selection of local produce meat, poultry & sea food, and very friendly. The accomodation is excellent, very nicely decorated, very comfortable furniture and the beds are soooo comfy! Kitchen facilities are excellent. Overall, a very nice welcoming log cabin with an excellent log burner. We'll definitely be going again.
Mr L, Bolton

The location was set in idyllic surroundings overlooking beautiful fields and hills enabling you to watch sunsets from the rear veranda - outstanding!! Accommodation is 5*. The peace and tranquillity would be hard to match anywhere in the UK, the park is ideally located for the region with local attractions only 5 minutes away, a park to comeback year after year.
